Updates / Highlights

Août 2020 - Installation of fiber optic cables along Route 155 and Chemin du Lac-Édouard.

Juil. 2020 - The foundations of the St-Joseph-de-Mékinac and Matawin towers are poured.

Juin 2020 - The CIMA+ is mandated for field surveys and engineering between La Tuque and Parent.

May 2020 - The Telecon is mandated to install fiber optic cables between La Tuque and Lac-Édouard.

April 2020 - The Captel is mandated for the construction and installation of the towers in St-Joseph-de-Mékinac and Matawin.

March 2020 - Addition of a 15th tower to the project in the La Croche region, north of the City of La Tuque.

Feb. 2020 - Installation of telecommunications equipment in Trois-Rivières.

Jan 2020 – Installation of telecommunications equipment and network management software in Montreal.

Dec 2019 – Start of tenders for the purchase of fiber optic cables and trenching accessories.

Nov 2019 – Start of deforestation work for the tower sites at Lac Chat and Festubert.

Oct 2019 – License applications with Municipalities, Télébec, Hydro-Québec, CN, MTQ, MERN and MFFP.

Sept 2019 – Public consultations begin for the Lac-à-Beauce, Lac-Édouard (2) and Parent (2) towers.

Aug 2019 –Start of tenders for the clearing of sites and the construction of access roads.

July 2019 – Confirmation from Transport Canada of tower lighting for aircraft guidance and illumination.

June 2019 – Public consultations begin for cellular towers in St-Joseph-de-Mékinac, Matawin, Lac Chat and Festubert.

Mai 2019 – Stantec is mandated for field surveys and engineering at La Tuque and Lac-Édouard.

April 2019 – Telecon is mandated for field surveys and engineering at St-Joseph-de-Mékinac and Matawin.

March  2019 – Start of invitational tenders for detailed engineering of optical fiber mapping.

Feb 2019 – Software agreements with LTE NetNumber and Metaswitch.

Jan 2019 – Signing of the Contribution Agreement with the provincial government ($ 13M).

Nov 2018 – Signing of the Contribution Agreement with the federal government ($ 13M).

Oct 2018 – Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian National Railway.

Sept 2018 – Request sent to Minister of Energy and Natural Resources for use of public property.   

Aug 2018 – Purchase and servitude agreements for the use of private property.

July 2018 – Meetings, visits and discussions with private property owners.

June 2018 – Meeting and discussions with Hydro-Québec and Canadian National Railway.

May 2018 – Meeting with forestry engineers for access routes in mountainous relief.

April 2018 – Meeting and discussions with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources for access to public property.  

March 2018 – Preliminary engineering for mapping fiber optics and cellular tower locations.

Feb 2018 – Analysis of radiofrequencies for cellular towers.

Jan 2018 – Meeting with Canadian National Railway.

Dec 2017 – Meeting and discussions with the Wemotaci aboriginal community.

Sept 2017 – Pre-approval of the LTE Haute-Mauricie project and a $26M investment.

Feb 2017 – Submission of project to the "Connect to Innovate" governmental program.
